Four Years Later, I Walked Out With Repos — Not Just a Degree

Graduating B.Tech CSE from SRM IST in 2026 closes the academic chapter that began in September 2022, but it does not close the work. If anything, graduation feels like a checkpoint in a longer race. Four years ago I was navigating campus maps; now I am navigating production logs, model evaluations, and deployment configs. The degree matters — it gave me fundamentals, peers, mentors, and the pressure that turns potential into habit. But the repos matter differently: they are public evidence of nights spent debugging, shipping, and rewriting. Fourteen plus public repositories chart a path from HTML weather pages to RefactorAI Gen 2, from Firebase apps to concurrent Java engines, from Hindi sentiment models to legal NLP systems. I am open to Software Fresher roles not because I think I have arrived, but because I have practiced arriving repeatedly — project after project, semester after semester. Chennai is still home, SRM is still where the story started, and GitHub is where the story stayed visible. The timeline continues after graduation; this milestone just makes the narrative official. The next chapter is hiring; the work never stopped. Graduation is not a stop line. It is the moment the public timeline and the private ambition finally point the same direction — fresher roles, serious repos, and the same curiosity that started in Chennai. I am proud of the degree, prouder of the habit: show the work, tell the truth, keep building after the ceremony ends.
