The Inspiration Behind This Portfolio

Every developer eventually asks the same question: how do you stand out when everyone ships the same Bootstrap template? For me, the answer arrived in an unexpected place — the official website of Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc. It was not just a site; it felt like a broadcast. Full-screen heroes, confident typography, scroll that pulled you forward, and a sense that every pixel belonged to a larger story. I kept returning to it, not to copy it, but to understand why it worked. That curiosity became this portfolio. I deliberately avoided frameworks and leaned into vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript so every animation, marquee, and layout decision would be mine. AI tools helped me iterate faster — debugging scroll math, refining copy, prototyping the F1-style certificates grid — but the creative direction stayed human. The exploration HUD, cinematic page transitions, certificate broadcast, and Session Complete finale were ideas I wanted to try because they made the site feel alive, not static. The result is something inspired by Leclerc's world, but unmistakably Sankalp: a software fresher's portfolio that treats projects, credentials, and timeline like chapters in a season. It took patience, late nights, and a willingness to rebuild sections until they felt right. If you are browsing these pages, you are seeing that process finished — and still evolving. I also wanted the blog and timeline to feel like chapters, not bullet points — which is why every project here has a story written in my own voice. Building this site taught me as much as any internship: performance, accessibility, and the courage to delete code that almost worked but did not feel right.
